About the Manufacturer

BOSHIYA Group — Your Tube Bundle Extractor Manufacturer & Supplier

We’ve been making industrial equipment since 1915. Not a typo — over a hundred years of building machines that pull, lift, and move things that don’t want to be moved. Started as a single workshop, now we’re a global operation with engineering teams across three continents.

:: FIELD_RECORD // SAUDI_ARABIA_1990S ::

Here’s the thing about tube bundle extraction — it’s one of those jobs where you really don’t want the machine to quit halfway through. We learned that the hard way back in the late ’90s when a client in Saudi Arabia had a 60-ton bundle seized solid inside a crude oil cooler. Took us three days with an undersized rig. After that job, we redesigned our entire product line from the ground up. Every model we sell today traces back to lessons from that project.

Global Standards & Reliability

Our factory runs ISO 9001:2015 quality management, CE marking on every unit, and we’ve passed SGS audits seventeen times without a major finding. Big words? Sure. But we back them up — our bundle extractor machines have logged over 400,000 operating hours across 60+ countries. Refineries in Texas, petrochemical complexes in Jubail, power stations in Southeast Asia. The machines keep running.

Real-World Challenges

Problems We’ve Solved — And How

These aren’t hypothetical scenarios. Every one of these came from actual field calls.
Problem

Seized Bundle Won’t Budge

Crude oil cooler bundle hadn’t been pulled in 6 years. Carbon and scale had basically welded it in place. Their rental puller maxed out at 40 tons and couldn’t move it.
Corpus Christi, TX — Refinery
Solution

BSY-80 with Multi-Speed Gearbox

Swapped in our 80-ton unit, started on low gear at 35 tons to break the initial seal, then ramped to 65 tons for sustained pull. Bundle came out clean in under two hours. No damage, no header distortion.
Problem

No Overhead Access on Site

Exchangers installed under a dense pipe rack, overhead access blocked by cable trays and a 4-meter clearance limit. Couldn’t position an aerial tube bundle rig from above.
Jubail, Saudi Arabia — Petrochemical Plant
Solution

Self-Propelled Configuration

Deployed our diesel-powered self-propelled unit — no overhead lift needed. Drove it into position under the rack, aligned with the exchanger channel, and completed the job at grade level. Saved them two days of rigging work.
Problem

Bundle Damage During the Pull

A power plant was losing heat exchanger tubes every turnaround — their old electric puller had no load feedback, and operators were blindly applying force until something bent or cracked.
Vietnam — Power Plant
Solution

Load-Sensing Hydraulics + Wireless Remote

Installed a BSY-60 with precision load gauges and a wireless remote. Operators can now see real-time force readings and modulate the pull and push speed from a safe distance. Zero damage across three turnaround cycles since deployment.
Problem

Multiple Exchanger Sizes on One Site

An EPC contractor handling service on a gas processing plant had exchangers ranging from 1.6 m to 3.0 m bore — buying separate machines for each size wasn’t in the budget.
Gas Processing Plant — EPC Contractor
Solution

Modular Yoke + Interchangeable Frames

One BSY-100 with three different lifting frame sizes. Swap takes about 45 minutes on-site. They cover their entire fleet of exchangers with a single machine. That’s the kind of flexibility we designed into the system from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions

What Our Customers Actually Ask

Short version: it’s a big, diesel-powered machine that grabs the bundle by its header and pulls it straight out of a shell. A tube bundle puller like ours drives a hydraulic pump through the engine, which feeds a multi-speed gearbox, which moves a carriage along guide rails. You get steady, controllable force — anywhere from 15 to 150 tons depending on the model. The diesel power source means you don’t need external electricity, which is a big deal on turnaround sites where temporary power is unreliable or where the area is classified as hazardous.

Depends on three things, honestly. First, the dry weight of your bundle — but don’t stop there. A bundle that weighs 40 tons dry can need 60+ tons of pull force when it’s fouled and seized. Second, bundle length — our models go from 6.1 meters up to 12 meters standard, with extensions available. Third, the shell diameter — make sure the lifting frame fits. We size every machine to the specific job. Tell us your exchanger specs and we’ll recommend the right model, no guesswork involved.

Yep. That’s actually one of the biggest reasons clients come to us. Traditional aerial work assumes you’ve got crane access overhead. But in crowded pipe racks and congested plant layouts? Not always possible. Our self-propelled models drive into position under their own power — no overhead lift, no rigging crew, just diesel and hydraulics. We’ve done this in refineries across the Gulf Coast and Middle East where overhead clearance was as low as 4 meters.

A moderately fouled bundle? Figure 30 to 90 minutes for the actual pull-and-push cycle. Heavily seized bundles in older plants — the ones that haven’t been touched in 5 or 6 years — can run 2 to 4 hours. Setup and alignment add another 30 to 60 minutes on top of that. The diesel-hydraulic system doesn’t overheat during long pulls, which matters when you’re fighting a stubborn component at sustained high load.

Nothing exotic. Standard diesel service — oil changes every 250 hours, hydraulic fluid level checks, filter swaps. Inspect the jaw pads and guide rails before each job for wear. The hydraulic hoses should be replaced on a time-based schedule (we recommend every 3 years regardless of hours). Every unit ships with a detailed service card, and our field team handles annual calibration if you want it done right.

We do. MOQ is 3 units, with volume discounts that scale up to 20% for larger fleet orders. OEM buyers get custom branding — your logo, your color scheme, modified data plates. We ship DDP to most international ports and have a US warehouse option for faster last-mile. Sample units are available if you need to evaluate before committing to a larger order.
